This unique pathway allows you to secure a position as a lead teacher and, with the support of PEBC, smoothly transition from an Alternative Teaching License to an Initial Professional License through CDE-approved coaching and coursework.

PEBC works closely with hiring schools to assign a dedicated mentor within your building, and you’ll also receive continuous guidance from PEBC coaches. This combination ensures that you’re never alone on your journey—whether you’re participating in online classes, completing coursework, or benefiting from in-person classroom visits by your coach.
