TEACHER OF RECORD PATHWAY

Teachers of Record are supported by PEBC mentors and coaches as they serve as the sole teacher in the classroom.

The Teacher of Record Pathway is an outstanding opportunity for those with a bachelor’s degree in any field and experience working with children in a classroom setting to jumpstart their teaching career. This unique pathway allows you to secure a position as a lead teacher and, with the support of PEBC, smoothly transition from an Alternative Teaching License to an Initial Professional License through CDE-approved coaching and coursework.

What sets this program apart is the unparalleled support you’ll receive. PEBC works closely with hiring schools to assign a dedicated mentor within your building, and you’ll also receive continuous guidance from PEBC coaches. This combination ensures that you’re never alone on your journey—whether you’re participating in online classes, completing coursework, or benefiting from in-person classroom visits by your coach.

The benefits don’t stop there. Upon completing the program, you’ll have access to five years of professional development through PEBC, enhancing your skills and career prospects. Plus, you'll earn transferable master's credits from one of our six esteemed partner universities, giving you a head start on further educational achievements.

Seize the opportunity to become a fully licensed educator with the support and resources you need to succeed. Choose to start your journey with the Teacher of Record Pathway in Summer or Winter.
