Partnerships

Boettcher Teachers Program

The Boettcher Teachers Program is a unique partnership of the Boettcher Foundation, the Public Education and Business Coalition, the University of Denver Morgridge College of Education, Mapleton Public Schools and the Adams 12 Five Star School District. Each partner plays an intrinsic role in the operation of the program.

Education News Colorado

Education News Colorado provides public awareness and understanding of key education issues Our work targets education, business, community and legislative audiences statewide through the website (www.ednewscolorado.org) offering daily education news from across the state, as well as analysis and opinion. It is a strong partnership of the Public Education & Business Coalition, Colorado Children’s Campaign, Daniels Fund, Donnell Kay Foundation, League of Charter Schools and Piton Foundation.

Public Education Network

The Public Education & Business Coalition is a member of the Public Education Network, a national association of local education funds (LEFs) and individualsworking to advance public school reform in low-income communities across our country. PEN is a network of 81 local education funds through out the United States and in five countries. This national network allows organizations to step out of their local context and broaden perspective through a cross-fertilization of ideas from other experiences nationally. This offers new models and standards that they can then adapt to their local setting.

Qwest Teachers & Technology Grant Program

The Qwest foundation and the Public Education & Business Coalition have launched a landmark plan in Colorado – the Qwest Teachers & Technology Grant Program. Specifically, Qwest is providing $150,000 in grants to be awarded in Colorado to help fund innovative technology grants so that Colorado teachers can improve education in the classroom.

Urban Teacher Residency United (UTRU)

The Boettcher Teachers Program is a member of Urban Teacher Residency United (UTRU). UTRU)is a national non-profit organization focused on improving teacher preparation and student achievement in the US by advancing, developing, and supporting Urban Teacher Residency programs. UTRU provides consulting and guidance to emerging residencies, supporting the launch of high-quality programs in urban districts throughout the country. In addition, UTRU has developed a close network of existing and emerging residency programs, so they may showcase best practices and share approaches to the development and implementation of effective programs. The three founding residency programs are the Academy for Urban School Leadership in Chicago, the Boettcher Teachers Program in Metro-Denver, and the Boston Teacher Residency in Boston.
